Doreen Spearman

Founded by Doreen Spearman, C.E.O., ETAS is a full service child development practice proudly serving Southern California since 1990. An expert in pediatric physical therapy, early childhood development and elementary education, she guides a team of disciplined and seasoned professionals that are results-oriented and service dedicated. She believes successful intervention is a direct result of having exceptional child development knowledge, academic expertise and counseling creativity. Under her leadership, ETAS has emerged as one of the leading child development practices in Southern California. Her approach is simple: Treat children and their families like they are our own – an approach that has resulted in the maximization of our clients’ talents and potential.

Helen A. Hunter, Program Director

With over 25 years of healthcare experience and a Master’s Degree in Education, Ms. Hunter spearheads a successful group of Infant Development Specialists, Pediatric Therapists and Behavioral Health Clinicians. Under her leadership, the ETAS 805 Infant Development Program, the 805 Intensive Behavioral Service Program, the 116 Early Start Specialized Therapeutic Program and the Early Trauma Care Support Program continue to grow in popularity with an increasing demand for services throughout the Inland Empire.

Trina Ramirez, Program Coordinator

With 30 years in the medical field, Mrs. Ramirez brings extensive knowledge and human resource experience to the practice. As a nurse educator, child advocate and developmental specialist, she joined the ETAS team in the fall of 2010. The depth of her experience encompasses a broad spectrum of program management, including child focused state agency liaison, staff trainer and mentor, program development, specialty service supervisor and family support service coordinator.

Mary Muro, Program Administrator

Ms. Muro brings a wealth of expertise and outstanding human resource experience to ETAS. Her type of knowledge and rapport enables ETAS to successfully meet the needs of regional center service coordinators, program managers and families to better serve the children entrusted in our care. Since joining the practice in the summer of 2017, Ms. Muro’s unwavering commitment to quality service has enabled ETAS to emerge as one of Southern California’s leading providers of child development services.


Direct Care Providers

ETAS providers have a combined practice experience of over 40 years, including 30 years of infant development, autism early intervention, and school based practice. All specialists are graduates of accredited schools for physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, behavioral therapy, speech language pathology or early childhood education and hold Associates of Arts Degrees, Bachelor of Science Degrees, or Master of Arts/Science Degrees. PhD level Behavior Analysts provide diagnostic assessments, in addition to treatment. Physical Therapists are currently licensed by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance of the State of California and meet the educational standards of the Physical Therapy Board of California. Occupational Therapists are currently licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy. Speech Therapists are licensed through the state of California as speech pathologists. Psychologists are licensed by the Psychology Examining Board of California. Behavior Specialists are credentialed as Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Child Development Specialists hold permits or credentials through the California Department of Education
