History
Founded by Doreen Spearman, a pediatric physical therapist, Educational Therapy Assessment & Services, known as ETAS, is a full service education and therapy agency proudly serving Southern California since 1990. Initially developed to meet the challenges of special needs children and their parents in the Inland Empire, ETAS has continued to evolve, adding numerous services to help families cope with ongoing daily life struggles.
ETAS is today, what it has been throughout its proud history... a strong, trusted and results-oriented practice in the Southern California child development and medical therapy fields.
Thanks to the success we've had in working with our special needs clients and their families, we continue to expand and develop new programs to assist all children, parents, and families in achieving academic, developmental and emotional stability.
With hundreds of clients throughout the Inland Empire, ETAS is committed to a higher standard of personal involvement through a hands-on, practical intervention approach.
We strive for optimum results by supplementing our foundation of knowledge with expertise from the medical community: mental health specialists, support services, professionals in the areas of therapy, counseling and behavior management.
Regardless of the type of developmental need, our team of experts has the knowledge and experience to effectively treat a wide range of medical conditions and handle the management of challenging behaviors of children from birth to 6 years of age. The difference between a good child development program and a great one is the insightful and dedicated service of exceptional providers.
We are committed to a higher standard of personal involvement through a hands-on, practical behavior management and developmental approach. We utilize the extensive knowledge and services of teachers, psychologists, child development specialists, and professionals in the fields of mental health, education, physical medicine and nursing to produce the results parents expect from us. Currently ETAS has a dedicated staff of over 30 qualified practitioners many of whom are bilingual, fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and Filipino.
